Aerodyne-KBR JV Wins $531M Contract to Engineer NASA Systems

A joint venture between Aerodyne Industries and KBR Wyle Services has secured a potential five-year, $531 million contract to perform systems engineering work at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.

Aerodyne-SGT Engineering Services, also known as ASES, will help the agency develop, test and maintain ground and spacelight systems as part of the Mechanical Integration Services and Technologies II contract, NASA said Tuesday.

The partnership will also provide multidisciplinary engineering support that includes mechanical engineering of materials, design and structural analysis.

MIST II is structured as a small business set-aside contract and a follow-on to the contract held by an ASRC Federal-Applied Technology Associates JV.

The new award includes a six-month option period and work could also take place at other agency-run centers.

Wyle is the information technology consultation services division of KBR (NYSE: KBR), which acquired SGT in 2018.
