Former Peraton Exec Dean Bellamy Joins Redwire as National Security Space EVP

Dean Bellamy, former vice president of space strategies and development at Peraton, has been named executive vice president of Redwire‘s national security space business.

The retired U.S. Air Force colonel will be responsible for setting space development goals and ensuring that requirements from national security customers are met, Redwire said Wednesday. Bellamy joined Peraton in September 2018 as senior director of space strategy following his retirement from military service.

He previously served as chief of policy and strategy group of the National Reconnaissance Office, where he represented the agency in defense and intelligence government groups and received recognition for his contributions to the NRO mission.

His career with the Air Force included roles as chief of mission support in the service branch’s research office, deputy division chief for program integration and resources and flight commander of the 13th Space Warning Squadron.

Bellamy earned master’s degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the Joint Military Intelligence College and the Air War College.
