Joshua Marcuse, head of Strategy and Innovation for Google’s global public sector business, has received his second consecutive Wash100 Award, the most prestigious award in all of government contracting (GovCon), as a part of the 2021 recipients for his leadership and efforts to advance digital transformation, tech capabilities and drive industry partnerships.
Marcuse assumed his current role in Mar. 2020 after spending more than three years as executive director of the Defense Innovation Board (DIB). At Google’s cloud segment, Marcuse is responsible for leading a digital transformation team that works to drive development in public-sector matters including cyber defense, smart cities and public health.
Marcuse has also helped lead Google Cloud’s partnerships with Microsoft, Apple and the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) to create a notification tool to support contact tracing activities as part of a broader COVID-19 response effort.
