Dentsu has tapped Larry Gillespie II, former advisory executive director for EY‘s digital customer and strategy offering, to serve as president and chairman of its Isobar Public Sector business and lead the brand’s growth and capability development efforts.
Gillespie, who brings more than two decades of digital transformation experience, will help Dentsu’s public sector unit deliver emerging technology, cloud infrastructure and data transformation and security to government clients, the company said April 6.
Jacki Kelley, CEO of Dentsu’s Americas business, noted Gillespie’s public sector knowledge and government support experience, and welcomed him to the executive teams of Dentsu and Isobar Public Sector.
“He will be extremely valuable to clients as they navigate uncharted landscape – plotting pathways to economic recovery, cultivating social equity and inclusive policies and preventing cybercrime,” Kelley added.
The executive also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) for almost six years as principal of innovation brand and digital strategy.
Aside from Gillespie’s appointment as chairman, Dentsu also announced the addition of William Donahue, former commander of U.S. Air Force Communications and Information Center, and John Gilligan, former USAF chief information officer, to Isobar Public Sector’s board of directors.
