Robert Campbell, former director of federal sales at Forcepoint, has joined Dedrone as vice president of its North American public sector segment.
He will work in the drone detection technology provider’s office in Sterling, Virginia, and oversee government business development, go-to-market and strategic functions in his new position, the company said Tuesday.
Campbell will be responsible for bringing an airspace security offering to potential federal customers and will lead Dedrone’s work under a reseller agreement with General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) mission systems unit.
Previously, he was federal sales lead for analytics company RedOwl before its 2017 acquisition by Forcepoint. His career also included sales leadership roles at Tibco Federal, RSA Security and Serena Software.
Dedrone aims to help military and civilian agencies detect, identify and mitigate threats from small unmanned aircraft systems with company-built technology.
