Comtech Books $236M Army Satellite Equipment Sustainment Contract

A business group within Comtech Telecommunications' (Nasdaq: CMTL) government solutions segment will help the U.S. Army maintain ground satellite stations under a potential $235.7 million contract.

Comtech said Tuesday its mission-critical technologies group will refurbish AN/TSC-198 secret and non-secure internet protocol router access point terminals and provide baseband units to the service branch.

Work also covers repair, logistics, engineering, upgrade and training support services.

The company booked the contract during the second quarter of its 2021 fiscal year with a potential base value of $57.9 million and received $11.5 million in initial Army funds.

Comtech added that the award includes three option years.
