Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) will manufacture terrain-following/terrain-avoidance radars for the U.S. Special Operations Command under a multiyear, $235.6M contract.
SOCOM is obligating $69.4M on the Silent Knight radar production and delivery contract at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work will take place in Mississippi and is expected to be completed in July 2025.
Silent Knight is a multimode radar technology designed to reduce the probability of military aircraft being detected by adversarial forces. The system works to mask terrain for aircraft and crew protection.
