Huntington Ingalls Unit Awarded Five-Year Navy Logistics Support Extension

A professional services business of Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) will continue to support the U.S. Navy's expeditionary logistics operations as part of a half-decade task order awarded under the SeaPort Next Generation contract vehicle.

HII Technical Solutions will help the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Group manage assets, network and overhaul and kitting functions, the company said Wednesday,

NAVELSG is responsible for handling forward-deployed forces' expeditionary cargo, tactical fueling and ordnance reporting.

“For more than a decade, our team has delivered on the mission to ensure the Navy and Joint Forces have the materiel our nation’s globally deployed military personnel need for optimal readiness,” said Garry Schwartz, president of HII Technical Solutions’ defense and federal solutions unit.
