Reyes Construction Wins $100M Navy Task Order to Build Missile Magazines, Inert Storage Facility

Jeff Brody

Reyes Construction has won a potential $100.5M task order from the U.S. Navy to design and build 25 missile magazines at Naval Air Weapons Station in California.

The company will also construct an inert storage facility and replace a facility that houses an intrusion detection system, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Work will also involve deconstructing 32 critically damaged magazines, paving roadway and apron platforms and connecting electrical and telecommunications systems to the new magazines and inert space.

The Navy received three proposals for the task order and obligated $99.8M on the award, which includes one option and one possible modification.

DoD expects the project to be completed in August 2022.
