Kratos to Develop Space Radio Monitoring Tech for Gov’t Client; Phil Carrai Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 5, 2020 — Kratos Defense and Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) received an $11.4M contract to develop a space radio monitoring platform for an unidentified public sector client, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Feb. 27 it will design and integrate a satellite technology, associated software and hardware  such as antennae and satellite monitoring units as well as platforms designed to help users gather ground equipment performance data, evaluate satellite measurements and conduct spectrum analysis.

“The dynamic increase in capacity and capabilities of satellites today is increasing the need for advanced space monitoring systems to assure the satellite spectrum,” said Phil Carrai, president of Kratos’ space, training and cybersecurity division.
