Scott Davidson, former chief operating officer of data software provider Hortonworks, has joined data science and analytics firm Alteryx as COO.

The two-decade industry veteran will lead efforts to build out Alteryx's global infrastructure designed to support information technology, human resources, enterprise applications and corporate development functions in his new capacity, the company said Tuesday.
