Greg Young Promoted to LinQuest COO

Jeff Brody

Greg Young, formerly vice president and general manager of operational systems support solutions group at LinQuest, has been promoted to chief operating officer at the Los Angeles-based space systems technology firm.

He will be based at LinQuest’s office in Colorado Springs, Colo., and oversee the corporate development strategy to help the company broaden its capabilities and client base, expand into new markets and advance talent recruitment and retention efforts, the company said Wednesday.

“As a U.S. Air Force veteran and industry leader, Greg’s extensive experience planning and executing joint and combined military operations—as well as his comprehensive operational experience with national space systems—perfectly positions him for this role in meeting the growing needs of our defense and intelligence customer base,” said Tim Dills, president and CEO of LinQuest.

Young joined LinQuest in 2010. He previously held leadership roles at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Veridian.

LinQuest said Young’s appointment seeks to reflect the company’s strategic growth in U.S. intelligence and defense markets.
