Raytheon to Support Army Multimode Airborne Radios Under $406M Contract


Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has secured a four-year, $406.3M contract to provide hardware components and support services for a radio system used to facilitate communications on U.S. Army aviation platforms.

Work covers repair, logistical, engineering and technical support for the Army’s AN/ARC-231 Multiple-Mode Aviation Radio Suite, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The company will perform the services through Dec. 31, 2023.

AN/ARC-231 is designed to transmit data and voice at a frequency range of up to 512 megahertz. The system supports satellite communications, electronic counter-countermeasures, air traffic control and line-of-sight operations.
