Lockheed to Update Navy Surface EW Subsystems Under $184M Contract Modification

Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) rotary and mission systems business has received a $184.1M firm-fixed-price contract modification to update subsystems of the U.S. Navy‘s AN/SLQ-32(V) electronic warfare system.

The Navy issued the award to exercise options under a previously award contract for Block 2 full-rate production as part of the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program, the Department of Defense said Friday.

SEWIP Block 2 updates are meant to expand the system’s receiver and antenna functions.

Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate the full amount of the modification from the service branch’s fiscal 2019 shipbuilding and conversion funds.

Contract work will occur through June 2021.
