Northrop, NASA Test 2 Webb Telescope Components’ Electrical Interfaces


TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 4, 2018 — Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has collaborated with NASA to check the operability of electrical interfaces linking two James Webb Space Telescope components as part of the program’s test and integration phase, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday Webb’s Optical Telescope element/Integrated Science instrument module and Spacecraft Element communicated for the first time during the test, as the program team works to drive risk reduction measures ahead of the observatory’s future integration.
