BAE Named Formal Sponsor in Expanded USAF-Techstars Accelerator Program

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 16, 2018 — BAE Systems will serve as a sponsor of a business accelerator program that serves to build on an earlier partnership between the U.S. Air Force and Techstars that aimed to drive technology development collaboration between the service branch and the commercial industry, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

Techstars said Oct. 4 the expanded Air Force Accelerator Powered by Techstars program will involve more partners at the Air Force, as BAE also takes a formal role in the recruitment and selection of participants, with the goal to support “commercially viable” startups that offer technologies with applications in both the government and the private sector.
