Mission Essential Names Al Pisani as President

Al Pisani

Herndon, Va.-based Mission Essential has appointed industry veteran Al Pisani as president, the company announced earlier this month.

“Al is the keystone in our strategy for the next phase of Mission Essential,” said Chairman Gregory K. Miller.

“His personal mission is to update the company’s portfolio of services and operational approach to today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous challenges,” Miller added.

Pisani will oversee global operations and seek out expansion opportunities for the company’ language, intelligence, cyber and C4ISR programs, as well as push into new markets. He brings over 30 years of GovCon sector experience.

Previously, Pisani worked for Serco Inc. as senior vice president, corporate development; spent almost five years as an SVP with TASC, leading its intelligence group; and held various leadership positions with Northrop Grumman, overseeing business development in the civilian sector and serving in its Homeland Security program management office.

Pisani takes the reins from Sunil Ramchand, who served as chief executive officer for the past three years.
