TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 26, 2018 — A Cubic (NYSE: CUB) business unit has secured a contract from Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) to provide air combat training technology for the latter’s F-35 Lightning II Lots 12 to 14 aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Cubic Global Defense will supply an estimated 500 F-35 training subsystems, including the P5 Combat Training System internal subsystem variant and associated ground software, over the next four years, the company said Thursday.

“With this next-generation air combat training system, F-35 fighter pilots can receive not only a dedicated training system to accurately capture exercise data but also have the capability to train with fourth-generation aircraft that carry wing-mounted pod version of the P5 Combat Training System,” noted Dave Buss, president of Cubic Global Defense and a previous Wash100 awardee.
