L3 Secures Potential $240M DISA Contract for Ka-Band Military Comms Services


L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) has received a potential $240M contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to help military personnel communicate during air transit.

Under the non-competitive contract, L3’s integrated systems business will provide Ka-band communications support to senior leaders and their staff who travel via aircraft, the Defense Department said Friday

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization will obligate $5.8M in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

DoD noted the base period of performance runs through Sept. 30, 2018, and that the firm-fixed-price contract also includes a six-month option period.

Work will primarily take place in California and Washington.
