Northrop’s Fire Scout Helicopter Drone Under Navy Evaluation for LCS Integration


TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 10, 2018 — Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) MQ-8C Fire Scout unmanned helicopter has completed an initial operational test and evaluation that the U.S. Navy‘s Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 1 conducted aboard USS Coronado, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The U.S. Pacific Fleet said Friday the effort will help shape the Navy’s plan to integrate the helicopter drone with platforms such as littoral combat ships to support target identification, intelligence gathering, surface warfare and other engagements, which Coronado and VX-1 simulated for the activity.
