IBM’s Andras Szakal Lands Award for Work on Open Tech Standards

TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 26, 2018 — Andras Szakal, vice president and chief technology officer of the U.S. federal business at IBM (NYSE: IBM), has received recognition from The Open Group industry consortium for his contribution to drive innovation through open technology standards, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The organization said Friday Szakal is the recipient of its “Most Valuable Contributor Award for an Individual” while IBM was presented the “Outstanding Contribution by a Member Organization” award for its work on Unix, the Open Professionals program and the Open Trusted Technology Provider Standard supply chain.
