TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 5, 2018 — CAE has delivered a Predator Mission Trainer to Italy’s air force in support of training programs for pilots of the country’s fleet of General Atomics-built Predator A remotely piloted aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported.

The trainer for the Predator A has entered into service with the Italian air force at Amendola Air Force Base ahead of acceptance trials for the Predator B variant of the mission trainer over the next months, CAE said.

“The development of the Predator Mission Trainer for the Italian Air Force represents a new level of fidelity and capability in the use of synthetic training for remotely piloted aircraft pilots and sensor operators,” said Gene Colabatistto, president of the defense and security group at CAE.
