Northrop Eyes Partners to Test Drone Swarming Tech on Company-Built Test Bed


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 15, 2018 — Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) is developing an open architecture test bed for unmanned systems and seeks partners interested to conduct trials on swarm tactics using the platform, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday the test bed will work to verify swarm technologies in support of its efforts under the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency‘s OFFensive Swarm-Enabled Tactics program that aims to explore the potential of drone swarms.
