Thomas Liguori to Join Avnet as Finance Chief

Thomas Liguori

Thomas Liguori, formerly chief financial officer of semiconductor manufacturing company Advanced Energy Industries, has been named CFO of electronic components distributor Avnet in a move slated to take effect Jan. 29.

He will succeed Ken Jacobson, who has served as Avnet’s CFO on an interim basis since August, and will report directly to CEO Bill Amelio, the company said Thursday.

Jacobson concurrently serves as controller of the company and aims to help Liguori transition into the latter’s new role.

Liquori, a more than 30-year finance and operations veteran, previously held the CFO position at MFLEX, Iomega, Channell Commercial and Dole Food‘s European arm.

His career also includes time as VP for finance/corporate staff at Teledyne, manager of management consulting at Deloitte and financial management program and manufacturing cost manager at Honeywel International  (NYSE: HON).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University and a master’s degree in finance from Arizona State University.
