Samer Halawi

Samer Halawi, formerly chief commercial officer of satellite communications firm OneWeb, has been appointed to a similar role at Intelsat (NYSE:I) in a move slated to take effect Jan. 9.

Intelsat said Wednesday Halawi’s appointment comes as the company aims to accelerate the commercialization of its EpicNG satellite fleet and the launch of new managed service offerings.
