Orbital ATK Concludes 8th Cygnus Cargo Resupply Mission to ISS

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 20, 2017 — Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has completed its eighth resupply mission to the International Space Station with the reentry to Earth of a Cygnus spacecraft that delivered 7,400 pounds of cargo to astronauts and performed science experiments for NASA, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday the spacecraft designated S.S. Gene Cernan also removed 6,400 pounds of items for disposal from ISS then deployed 14 cubesats to space as part of its secondary OA-8 mission under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services – 1 contract.
