L3 Receives $150M Int’l Order for Night-Vision Equipment; Christopher Kubasik Comments

L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) has secured a potential $150 million contract to supply an international country with multiple night-vision devices to aid in border security and defense operations.

The customer ordered Binocular Night Vision Goggles, Holographic Weapon Sights, Light Weapon Thermal Sights and Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Lasers from the company, L3 said Wednesday.

Christopher Kubasik, president and chief operating officer of L3, said the company invests in warfighter technologies such as fusion and augmented reality platforms for potential use by U.S. and international clients.

The company designed its night-vision equipment to help dismounted soldiers locate and target operational threats when they conduct operations at nighttime and in adverse weather conditions.

L’s warrior sensor systems sector will carry out work under the contract.
