Raytheon to Conduct Risk Mitigation Work on Australia’s Air Defense System


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 10, 2017 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) will support the first phase of an approximately $1.54 billion Australian government program that seeks to build on the country’s air defenses under an estimated $9.3 million contract awarded to the company’s local business unit, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Australia’s defense department said Wednesday Raytheon Australia will perform risk mitigation activities in support of the final configuration for the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System under the Short Range Ground Based Air Defense program.
