General Atomics Holds 1st Flight Test at New Facility in North Dakota


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 20, 2017 — A General Atomics business unit has completed the first test flight activity at its recently opened Flight Test and Training Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, using a Block 5 Predator B/MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. flew the Reaper across an estimated 1,075 nautical miles in Class A civilian airspace under an authorization by the Federal Aviation Administration.
