John Foley, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Data Systems Analysts, has said the professional services contractor utilized “recent growth” to acquire information technology and management consulting provider Project Performance Company, Philly.com reported Tuesday.

Trevose, Pennsylvania-based DSA bought PPC in July as part of a push to expand cloud computing and legacy systems modernization service offerings for the public sector.

The deal marked DSA’s first major acquisition since the company was established in 1963, according to Philly.com.

DSA posted $135 million in 2016 sales and is projected to generate $170 million in 2017 sales.

McLean, Virginia-based PPC provides IT services to government customers such as the Justice Department, National Archives and Records Administration and Environmental Protection Agency.
