Northrop Grumman Opens Aircraft IR Countermeasure Repair Facility in Australia


TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 22, 2017 — Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has opened a new facility in south Australia that will work to provide in-country repair and maintenance services for the Australian air force’s Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasure systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday the Adelaide repair hub focused on the LAIRCM aircraft protection system against infrared missile attacks is part of its efforts to expand sustainment and logistics capacity in Australia.
