Orbital ATK Eyes Potential USAF Contract to Continue Next Generation Launch Vehicle Dev’t

TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 10, 2017 — Mike Laidley, vice president of the Next Generation Launch program at Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA), has said the company anticipates the U.S. Air Force to award launch service agreements for large space launch vehicles by early 2018, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Space News reported Wednesday Laidley indicated the company is well positioned to secure an LSA to complete the development of its NGL vehicle and proceed to certification test flights.

He noted the company and Air Force have so far invested an estimated $200 million in the NGL program.
