AWS’ Jennifer Chronis Talks Benefits, Support Tools for Commercial Cloud Adoption at DoD

TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 5, 2017 — Jennifer Chronis, general manager for Defense Department programs at Amazon Web Services (Nasdaq: AMZN), has said DoD can leverage security as one of many benefits in the adoption of cloud platforms, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

She wrote in an article published March that other advantages to commercial cloud technologies are scalability, functionality and the speed of development and deployment.

Chronis noted that DoD will need to build contract vehicles that align with cloud requirements, implement flexible funding options and establish an empowered workforce to drive commercial cloud adoption.
