Engility said Monday Whatmough will lead the group that offers technical and engineering support services to the Defense Department in his new position.
“Scott is a highly-respected and accomplished leader with strong relationships in the Pentagon and the Hill, and he has proven experience growing businesses and developing high-performing teams,” said Lynn Dugle, Engility CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017.
Dugle added that Whatmough will help drive the defense unit’s strategy to enter other market areas such as cybersecurity and enterprise modernization.
He most recently led Raytheon’s military electronics systems business and previously held positions at RCA Government Systems and Sequoia Systems.
Whatmough also chaired the MILCOM board and served on the advisory board of the electrical and computer engineering department at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
