Lockheed Secures $166M Navy Contract for Automatic Test Equipment Production


Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a potential four-year, $166 million contract to provide automatic test equipment and support services to the U.S. Navy.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the contract covers full-rate production of 36 electronic Consolidated Automated Support Systems as well as sustaining logistics and engineering services.

Work will occur in Orlando, Florida; Hunt Valley, Maryland; North Reading, Pennsylvania; Irvine and San Diego, California; Austin, Texas and other locations within the U.S. through January 2021.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division will obligate the full contract amount at the time of award from the Navy’s fiscal 2015, 2016 and 2017 aircraft procurement funds.

CASS is designed to help the service branch test ship, aircraft and submarine electronics at the intermediate, depot and factory levels.
