Richard Foster, a 35-year veteran of the Canadian armed forces and aÂ retired major general, has been appointed corporate vice president ofÂ L3 Technologies‘ (NYSE: LLL)Â business unit in Canada.
HeÂ will manage L3 Canada‘s overall operations andÂ coordinate with the subsidiary’s business development team to help expandÂ itsÂ customer base, the company said Wednesday.
“His extensive military experience and work with foreign governments are particularly well-suited to delivering L3âs broad portfolio of readiness, upgrade, sensor and modernization technologies and services to allied countries across the globe,” L3 Chairman and CEOÂ Michael Strianese.
Foster previously held the roles ofÂ deputy commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Joint Operations Command.
He was also awardedÂ aÂ Commander of the Order of Military Merit by the Governor General of Canada for his outstanding leadership and service.
