DLA Awards GE $98M Delivery Order to Reproduce F110 Military Jet Engines

General Electric (NYSE: GE) will remanufacture F110 military aircraft engines for the U.S. Air Force under a $98.1 million firm-fixed-priced delivery order from the Defense Logistics Agency.

The Defense Department said Tuesday that GE will perform work through through Oct. 30, 2018,  in Ohio and Kansas.

DLA’s aviation unit is the contracting activity and will obligate fiscal 2017 defense working capital funds for the delivery order.

F110 engines are designed to power F-15 and F-16 fighter planes through various military operations.
