Carahsoft to Support VMWare Product Licenses Procurement for Army

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 4, 2017 — The U.S. Army has awarded Carahsoft Technology a two-year, $23.9 million contract to help obtain VMware product licenses to support the management and virtualization of the former’s Warfighter Information Network-Tactical server infrastructure, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

Carahsoft will help the Army obtain proprietary brand name, commercial off-the-shelf VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus server virtualization platform, vCenter server for vSphere, NSX lab and workstation software licenses under the contract, the Defense Department said Friday.
