Teresa Covington, Â who held the interim chief financial officerÂ role between Feb. 5, 2015 andÂ July 7, 2015 at AeroVironmentÂ (Nasdaq: AVAV), has been appointedÂ CFO on a full-time basis at theÂ unmanned aircraft systems manufacturer.
AeroVironment said Tuesday Covington will succeed Raymond Cook, who will resign as senior vice president and CFO on Feb. 28, 2017 for health reasons.
Her appointment will take effect on March 1, 2017.

Covington oversawÂ financial analysis, planning, accounting, credit and collectionÂ functions and a new product line management organization at AeroVironment.
Prior to AeroVironment, Covington was SVP and CFO at Line 6, a manufacturer of musical instruments that currently operates as part of Yamaha.
