Teresa Covington,  who held the interim chief financial officer role between Feb. 5, 2015 and July 7, 2015 at AeroVironment (Nasdaq: AVAV), has been appointed CFO on a full-time basis at the unmanned aircraft systems manufacturer.

AeroVironment said Tuesday Covington will succeed Raymond Cook, who will resign as senior vice president and CFO on Feb. 28, 2017 for health reasons.

Her appointment will take effect on March 1, 2017.

“I am excited to work closely with Teresa in her new role as we execute our business strategy to continue driving long-term value for our shareholders, customers and employees, ” said Wahid Nawabi, AeroVironment president and CEO.

Covington oversaw financial analysis, planning, accounting, credit and collection functions and a new product line management organization at AeroVironment.

Prior to AeroVironment, Covington was SVP and CFO at Line 6, a manufacturer of musical instruments that currently operates as part of Yamaha.
