AECOM, Colorado Transportation Dept Partner to Develop Energy-Transfer Highway for Electric Trucks


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 14, 2016 — Colorado’s Department of Transportation has partnered with AECOM (NYSE: ACM) to develop an energy-transfer highway designed to charge electric-powered trucks, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The energy-transfer lanes will work to provide electricity to the trucks using a coil transmission system and an embedded electric grid along the highway as part of CDOT’s RoadX program,  TruckingInfo reported Friday.
