Ryan Kearny, an 18-year veteran ofÂ F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV), has been namedÂ chief technology officer and executive vice president for product development at the Seattle-based application delivery firm.
F5Â said Wednesday Kearny will report directly to President and CEO John McAdam and oversee the company’sÂ effortsÂ to innovate andÂ develop technology products.
âRyanâs experience, perspective, and technical acumen make him an ideal fit to take F5 further into emerging areas, particularly around software and cloud technologies, âÂ McAdam noted.
He added that Kearny and his teams will aimÂ to deliver platforms designed to supportÂ cloud, data center and application-based environments.
KearnyÂ will also lead all product engineering personnel and implement technology roadmap in his new position.
He previouslyÂ served as senior VP of product development and has helped expand F5’s BIG-IP product line into virtual editions as well as develop the TMOS architecture.
