HPE, WWT to Deliver Enterprise Data Storage Tech to DISA; Joe Ayers Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 20, 2016 — Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) has partnered with World Wide Technology to provide enterprise data storage services to the Defense Information Systems Agency under a $427 million contract awarded to WWT, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

WWT said April 13 the Enterprise Storage Services II contract covers the deployment of a storage infrastructure that leverages HPE’s 3PAR StoreServ Storage to manage classified and unclassified data.

“The ESS II contract will help close the gap between increasing storage demands and lower budgets, as well as eliminating monolithic and modular architectures, ” said Joe Ayers, vice president of HPE’s federal enterprise group.
