American Systems Completes Defense Health IT Test Infrastructure’s Initial Phase; Peter Smith Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 1, 2016 — American Systems has completed the first phase of the Program Executive Office Defense Healthcare Management Systems’ testing infrastructure as part of its Connections II contract with the General Services Administration, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The company said Monday Allegany Ballistics Laboratory hosts the PEO DHMS testing infrastructure.

Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems, said the company will work to support the PEO DHMS mission of “modernizing the Military Health System electronic health record and establishing seamless medical data interoperability within the [Defense Department], the [Department of Veterans Affairs] and the private sector.”
