Ball Aerospace Buys Software Development Firm Wavefront for Cyber, Diversification Push; Rob Strain Comments

cyberwarfareBall Aerospace and Technologies has bought engineering and analytical services provider Wavefront Technologies for an undisclosed sum as part of its portfolio diversification efforts.

Rob Strain, president of Ball Aerospace, said Friday the company also expects the acquisition to help broaden its presence in the Washington metropolitan area.

Maryland-based Wavefront Technologies works to provide software development, analytical, network and systems engineering support to commercial firms and government agencies with regard to mission-focused and cyber-related programs.

Ball Aerospace will immediately work to integrate Wavefront’s team of more than 100 analysts and software and systems engineers into the workforce.
