Sevatec will provide support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Cyber Security Center under a $9.9 million sole-source contract from the Commerce Department, Federal Times reported Thursday.
Aaron Boyd writes that the office of the Commerce chief information officer indicated the award as a follow-on to a previous contract, with support services from Hewlett-Packard‘s (NYSE: HPQ) ArcSight company and Reston Consulting Group.
Sevatec holds contracts with 20 other agencies and provides hiring and training services for the cybersecurity workforce and consulting services on security matters, the report said.
The company’s support to NCSC covers the NOAA Computer Incident Response Team,  Security Operations Center, Enterprise Security Solutions and five Trusted Internet Connection Access Points.
