Orbital ATK Awarded $118M Navy Missile Conversion Services Contract

Orbital ATKOrbital ATK (NYSE: OA) will provide Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile conversion services to the U.S. Navy,  Australia and Italy under a $118.7 million contract.

The Defense Department said Sept. 3 the full-rate production Lot 4 procurement contract also covers work to convert AGM-88B High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles to 142 AGM-88E All-Up-Rounds and 12 Captive Air Training Missiles.

Orbital ATK will perform work at locations in California and Italy through December 2018.

According to DoD, the contract combines the Navy’s $95.5 million purchase, Australia’s $11.9 million purchase and Italy’s $11.3 million purchase.

The obligated full amount is from the Navy’s weapons procurement funds and cooperative partner and foreign military sales funds for fiscal years 2013 to 2015, the department said.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $709.8M contract modification by Naval Air Systems Command to obtain materials needed for the low-rate initial production of additional F-35 jets for U.S. and foreign military sales customers. The modification funds material purchases for lot 15 through lot 17 aircraft of the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps as well as FMS and non-Department of Defense participants, DoD said Monday.
