NeustarÂ (NYSE: NSR) has signed an agreement to acquire the caller authentication assets ofÂ Siris Capital Group affiliateÂ Transaction Network Services for $220 million in cash, minus an estimated $47 million in tax benefits.
NeustarÂ said WednesdayÂ it expects to close the transaction in its fourth fiscal quarter and toÂ support the company’sÂ market position on call authentication services across tbroadband, wireless and mobile platforms.
Neustar projects the acquired assets to helpÂ generate $60 million in fiscal 2016Â revenue.
“The fundamental shift to mobile has forever changed how businesses and consumers engage, resulting in a need for creative solutions that enhance engagement in a way that must be neutral, trusted, and platform-agnostic, ” saidÂ Lisa Hook, president and CEO of Neustar.
The company added that it also aims to bolster its portfolio with database management, data storage, caller identification and verification offerings through the acquisition.
