General Dynamics Lands $450M DISA Contract for AFCENT Comm Systems

general dynamics logoA General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has won a potential five-year,  $450 million contract to help the Defense Information Systems Agency acquire, install, integrate, operate and maintain communications systems.

The Defense Department said Friday General Dynamics Information Technology will perform the work in support of the U.S. Air Forces Central Command‘s mission requirements.

DISA received five proposals for the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

DoD said the company will perform work at USAFCENT deployment locations in Southwest Asia through September 2016 and the contract has options to add up to four years.
