Washington Area CTO Roundtable to Host Summit With ‘Drone Petting Station’


kochar_yuvi_smallOn June 11th The Washington Area CTO Roundtable organization will be holding their tenth summit, “When Drones Fly” and will feature  a “drone petting station” for attendees.

A team of innovators from Gannett will exhibit unmanned aerial systems at the site during the event, CTO Roundtable said.

The lineup of speakers include:

  • Lance Sherry, executive director for the Center for Air Transportation Systems Research at George Mason University, to speak about drone technology trends and business applications.
  • John Lambert, former president and chairman of the board of the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, will give insights into the applications of drones in agriculture outside the U.S.
  • Michael Dyment, founder of Nexa Capital Partner, will also discuss the challenges of compliance with drone regulations in the U.S.

Yuvi Kochar, president of the CTO Roundtable stated “The CTO Roundtable is bringing together three very knowledgeable speakers to provide an overview of the opportunities and the challenges to the commercial use of Drones. Our members are curious and engaging.”
