TYSONS CORNER, VA May 27, 2015 — ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday on Tony Frazier, senior vice president at DigitalGlobe, revealing that the company has posted its MrGeo analytical tool on the GitHub source code sharing website for developers.

The technology, short for MapReduce Geo, was originally developed under National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency subsidy, Reuters said Friday.

MrGeo “is a geospatial toolkit designed to provide raster-based geospatial capabilities that can be performed at scale, ” according to NGA’s GitHub page.
